Obiter dictum
- Two comments regarding the Roberts nomination. First, while it was fun to see the media and blogosphere blathering over the nominee who wasn’t (Edith Clement), it proves how good the Bushies are at disinformation campaigns. Second, let’s see a show of hands of those who think the timing of the announcement was linked to getting Karl Rove off the front pages.
- Kurt Vonnegut has a new book coming out in September. It appears to be a collection of short essays and speeches composed over the last five years. (Via The Millions).
- There’s a shiny new “international” Serenity trailer up. (Via Firefly News). By the way, if you’re still wondering what it’s all about, the SciFi channel is going to rebroadcast the Firefly series in the proper order starting Friday night at 6 p.m. Central.
- Proud Liberal, who has moved here, has started a weekly Top 5 Republican Blog Rants. Problem to me would seem to be that the odds are the same guy is going to walk away with the top award every week.
