Jonathan Schell’s column about how peace was conspicuously absent from the DNC. Somewhat along the same lines is Bob Herbert’s column in Monday’s NY Times about how neither Kerry or Bush really want to talk about the grim facts facing the US.
Billmon’s post on the recent amazing series of coincidences in the “war on terror” and, in its usual excellent fashion, the Center for American Progress examines the loss of credibility.
Somewhat related, Reason magazine’s blog notes a couple references to our “war on terror”-era freedoms that jumped out at me in the last two episodes of the TV show, The 4400.
