I have three or four book reviews I should/need to write and either lack the motivation to finish (or even start) or am simply in procrastination mode. Thus, it seems an appropriate time for a collection of miscellany:
- Steal This Wiki has been launched to update and revise Abbie Hoffman’s counterculture classic, Steal This Book. (Via Boing Boing.)
- A bookstore that charges for browsing? (Via Critical Mass.)
- Let’s hope VH1 doesn’t do to books what it and counterpart MTV did to music video. (Via GalleyCat.)
- An donation, er detonation, for the Chicago Public Library. (Via Blog of a Bookslut.)
- John Scalzi (whose Old Man’s War has been on the “to review” list for nearly a month) has come up with a list of The Top 50 Personal Blogs in SF/F based on Technorati rankings.
- Just as I’m starting on Glasshouse,the latest from Charles Stross, Rick Kleffel at the Agony Column not only looks at it, he also gets a preview of the next release from Stross.
The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.
