- My friend Michael at The MinusCar Project is partnering with the Sioux Falls Green Project to bring the documentary No Impact Man to Sioux Falls. The movie, which tells the story of Colin Beavan’s decision to completely eliminate his personal impact on the environment for a full year, will be shown at Augie’s Gilbert Science Center, Room 100, at 7 pm Tuesday, December 8, 2009. There’s also a Facebook page for additional info.

- My favorite book store puts its principles into practice. It is donating 100 percent of the profits from sales of Sarah Palin’s book to the Alaska Wildlife Alliance.
- For those of you who are into design, The Book Cover Archive Blog names its top book covers (and a runner-up) for each year of the decade. (Via.)
- Here’s one way to censor books. Two librarians who thought a graphic novel was too explicit for young readers kept the book “checked out” and even removed a “hold” an 11-year-old girl put on the book. (Via.)
