Two items in the local daily caught my attention this morning, both reinforcing my concern that this country will eventually drown in its own political stew. This news item, an excerpt of which appeared in the Argus while I was gone, is an example of […] For those of you who may be interested, the South Dakota Supreme Court today unanimously affirmed former Gov. Bill Janklow’s manslaughter conviction. A friend points out the Jeff Gannon/James Guckert uproar may hit pretty close to home. Joe Conason has this at Salon and there’s also info here and here on “Gannon’s” connections with Thune and Thune’s paid bloggers. Maybe those bloggers were even more slimy than we thought. |
