Interesting Reading in the Interweb Tubes

  • 40 years after Watergate, Nixon was far worse than we thought (“All reflected a mind-set and a pattern of behavior that were uniquely and pervasively Nixon’s: a willingness to disregard the law for political advantage, and a quest for dirt and secrets about his opponents as an organizing principle of his presidency.”) (via)

I look forward to your Weekend Edition. I usually follow most of the links and learn lots of interesting things.

I am continually surprised by how people younger than 40 think of Watergate and the hippie revolution. It’s usually far different from anything I experienced. That made it doubly good to read the stories about Watergate and the Summer of Love.

    Thanks for all of this.
