Ask and ye shall receive

A reader passed along to PP at South Dakota War College and me the homage paid us by Bonnie Russell, “publicist” for South Dakota’s Judicial Accountability Initiative Law (J.A.I.L.). PP has posted his reaction to the honor. I’m just jealous that he got the nod as the blogger “most critical” of J.A.I.L.

Bonnie seems to believe our criticisms don’t deal with the issues. Her timing is impeccable. I already have ready to go the first several of what will be a continuing series of posts looking at the amendment itself and the extent to which J.A.I.L.ers misrepresent, misconstrue and, yes, lie, in an effort to sell the public their asinine bill of goods.

Since weekends are slower “hit” days for the blog and Monday is usually a good one, tune in then for the first installment. A reader advisory, though. Please be aware that I am going to use what J.A.I.L.ers fear the most — the facts. If the truth likewise scares you, you may want to avoid posts in that series.

P.S. to PP: You better watch out. I’m gunning for your award.

Criticism is above all a gift, an intuition, a matter of tact and flair; it cannot be taught or demonstrated,–it is an art.

Nyeah! They hate ME more than you.

    😉

  • Gosh, speaking for myself, I don’t hate anyone. And the people for Amendment E don’t hate either of you, either. At the risk of spoiling the fun, *I* had to tell them About you. They don’t do blogs. But as I said earlier, as long as you have a hobby.

(That said, it is kind of amusing to watch you both. I’m guessing your hands have callouses from patting yourselves on the back so much). However good sport that I am, I’ll invite you both to our victory party. On top of that, I’ll promise not to gloat. 🙂

In all seriousness though, (and I realize this is not the place for that); but if the Truth is to be told, I do have one teeny tiny little resentment. Yes, it’s true.

Right now my single resentment is towards the media.

Actually, my resentment is large towards the ole ‘watch dog’ media.

Because the media was asleep at the wheel, Again.

How is it in a room packed full of people…only One reporter got the below scoop?

    *

ALBANY – A Republican challenger to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is bizarrely claiming that the former first lady has been spying in her bedroom window and flying helicopters over her house in the Hamptons, witnesses told The Post yesterday.

Former Reagan-era Pentagon official Kathleen “KT” McFarland stunned a crowd of Suffolk County Republicans on Thursday by saying:

“Hillary Clinton is really worried about me, and is so worried, in fact, that she had helicopters flying over my house in Southampton today taking pictures,” according to a prominent GOP activist who was at the event.

“She wasn’t joking, she was very, very serious, and she also claimed that Clinton’s people were taking pictures across the street from her house in Manhattan, taking pictures from an apartment across the street from her bedroom,” added the eyewitness, who is not involved in the Senate race.

Suffolk County Republican Chairman Harry Withers, who hosted the reception in East Islip, confirmed McFarland’s paranoid statements.

“Yes, she said that,” Withers told The Post.

McFarland spokesman William O’Reilly responded that the GOP hopeful was just kidding around with her far-fetched claims.

“It was a joke, and people laughed,” O’Reilly insisted.

But three witnesses who were present said nobody in the audience cracked a smile.

“The whole room sort of went silent when she said it,” one person said.

“You could see peoples’ jaws drop after she said it. A guy next to me just turned to me and said, ‘I guess she didn’t take her Xanax today,’ ” the witness added.

Clinton campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson denied any spying was going on.

“We at the Hillary campaign wish Ms. McFarland the best and hope she gets the rest she needs,” he said.

But Wolfson couldn’t resist a sharper gibe at McFarland’s oddball remarks.

“Some campaigns hand out campaign buttons; the McFarland campaign hands out tinfoil hats with antennas,” he quipped.

McFarland’s Republican primary opponent, former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer, was present at the event, and said he came away bewildered.

“I’m standing there, and I kind of put my head down and said, ‘I can’t believe I’m hearing this,’ ” Spencer said.

McFarland, a Park Avenue matron who has never run for public office, has had a string of problems since announcing her candidacy earlier this month.

The Post reported last week that she had failed to vote in numerous New York elections and had even missed voting for President Ronald Reagan in 1984, when she claimed to be an important Reagan administration official.

The Post also disclosed that McFarland had occasionally voted at both her Southampton and Manhattan addresses in violation of the state Election Law, which allows ballots to be cast from only address.

It was also revealed this week that there are several discrepancies in McFarland’s résumé and that she had falsely claimed to be the highest-ranking woman in the Pentagon at a time when two other women held higher-ranking posts.

Earlier this week, former Republican U.S. Sen. Alfonse D’Amato called McFarland’s campaign “a joke” and “a candidate in her own mind.”

Thanks Bonnie, I guess. Maybe someday you can explain to everyone what Hillary Clinton and helicopters have to do with J.A.I.L.

  • Amendment E has to do with holding the judiciary accountable, rather than judges above the law. When you want to talk about Amendment E, we’ll have a communication. However, if you’re more interested in shrill trills about a non-issue, rock on. Just don’t expect me to join the discussion.

I’ve got no problem, personally with your continuing refusal to address http://www.AmendmentE.com

    I’m happy enough Others notice.

Have a nice day. Unless of course, you’ve made other plans. 😉

Thanks Bonnie, I guess. Maybe someday you can explain to everyone what Hillary Clinton and helicopters have to do with J.A.I.L.

Don’t you see Tim, Bonnie’s mentioning black helicopters because it is part of Ron Branson’s New World Order conspiracy theory.

    https://www.jail4judges.org/JNJ_Library/2005/2005-06-08.html

And why does she have resentment for the media? For pointing out the conspiracy theories underlying her and Ron Branson’s cause? For noting that this is NOT a South Dakota plan but a CALIFORNIA one that she and her friend Ron Branson are planning out of California?

By the way, in case you thought Stegmeier’s “resignation” from J.A.I.L. meant that Ron Branson is no longer in charge, read what Branson’s saying from his own website.

    https://www.jail4judges.org/JNJ_Library/2006/2006-03-22A.html

It is presented in South Dakota first for purely economic reasons– it has the least number of signatures required, the longest period of time to collect those signatures, and thus the state in which a measure is most likely to qualify for the ballot. It is not a question of one state “needing” the Amendment more than another state– they ALL need it. What is important is that J.A.I.L. be on the ballot in some state, to start the precedent of J.A.I.L. eventually being on the ballots in all states. J.A.I.L. is a national cause, with South Dakota being just the first state in the nation to present the Amendment to the People. No single state can be disassociated from the national effort. The entire country is in this cause together, state by state.

This has nothing to do with South Dakota; Branson himself is admitting that. And his friend and fellow Californian Bonnie is helping this move along.

By the way, maybe Bonnie can explain why the “Full text” of the amendment at https://www.amendmente.com/amendment-e_full_text.html includes words that are NOT in the official text that are in the copy filed with the Secretary of State?

Or is that part of the New World Order conspiracy, too?

I’ve got no problem, personally with your continuing refusal to address http://www.AmendmentE.com

Sure Bonnie, let’s talk about http://www.AmendmentE.com

Let’s talk about how in the section marked “Full text” you initially TRIED to erase the words “J.A.I.L.” and “Judicial Accountability Initiative Law”.

Let’s talk about how now the “full text” includes words in the preamble that are NOT part of the OFFICIAL text of the amendment given to the Secretary of State.

Compare this preable for Amendment E:
    https://www.sdsos.gov/electionsvoteregistration/electvoterpdfs/J.A.I.L.pdf

versus the one you have on your website

    https://www.amendmente.com/amendment-e_full_text.html

Why are the texts different Bonnie?

  • Tim

And, as Bonnie should have noted had she actually taken the time to read the post, the first in what will undoubtedly be a long series called “J.A.I.L. Lies” will debut tomorrow.
